Rigging Areas

We have two official rigging areas. One is to the north side of MH16’SC, extending along the beach towards the Spit Bridge. The other is at Clontarf, on the grass area on the south side of the Sydney Water siphon accessed from Monash Crescent. The Club will be running a water shuttle service between Clontarf and the Spit.

Trailers & Vehicle Parking

Clontarf – Vehicle Parking is available free of charge in surrounding streets and additionally metered parking is available within Clontarf Reserve itself. It is anticipated that Council will allow trailers to be parked around the perimeter of the grassed rigging area to allow easy access to equipment. The general public will have access through the rigging area to the beach. The Club will have parking marshals on hand to assist as necessary.

A shuttle ferry service will be running between The Spit and Clontarf rigging areas from 10am till late afternoon. In peak times the ferry will be backwards and forwards continually, otherwise you can contact the ferry by mobile – +61 455 869 473

The Spit – No cost trailer parking will be possible in a designated area immediately north of the Marine Rescue building; spaces are limited. Free vehicle and trailer parking is also available up Parriwi Road, but this is a bit of a walk. The parking ticket machines in Spit West carpark, directly opposite the Club, offer 7 day/24 hour ticketed parking for $70.00 if purchased in advance on day one or approximately $25.00 per day if purchased daily.

DeckHardware

DeckHardware will have their van parked in the Middle Harbour Yacht Club car park. They have stocked products from Allen, Liros, DrSails and many other quality brands. They are your go to for any shackles, blocks or rope throughout the regatta. To see their full catalogue, visit their website | www.deckhardware.com.au. If any splicing is required, there will be help available.

Lunch

Lunch can be pre-purchased from the service deck for the duration of the regatta. Lunch will can be picked up from 11:30 on each race day (excluding Sunday) from the Deck Bar. Food needs to be ordered by noon the day before. Menu selection and pricing will be available in the coming weeks.

Spectator Cat

Harbour Cat Cruises are providing a spectator cat for those wishing to watch the racing on the 4th and 6th of January. Small amount of finger food will be available. Pricing is $35 for adults, $25 for kids and pensioners.

Regatta Presentation

Regatta Presentation will kick off at 6pm on Sunday 7th. It will include buffet and canapés throughout the evening.

Boats and Fuel

Fuel – Boat fuelling is available at D’Albora Marina, located on the west side of The Spit Bridge (card payment only)

Boat Anchorage

There is limited space in front of the club for rescue boat storage overnight. Should you wish to moor a boat in front of the Club please contact the office prior to the regatta on (02) 9908 3477 Ext 2.

Club Facilities

Regatta Membership – The Club will be offering Regatta Membership, available for all visitors for $15 each. It allows easy access to the Club (no need to sign in) and provides a 10% discount on all food and beverage purchases from the bistro and deck bar. This will be valid for the duration of the regatta and can be purchased from the service desk near the Deck Bar.

ATM – Located at main entrance to the Skiff Club

Bar – The Club will be operating two bars. The upstairs Bar and Bistro will be open daily from 11.00am for “eat in” and “take away” meals. Relaxed dress code applies….i.e.no wet clothing please. The waterside deck bar will also be open from 11am on each day of the regatta and there are no particular dress regulations for this area other than clothing of some sort!

Overnight Boat Security – Boats stored overnight in the surrounds of the Club and at Clontarf are stored at the owner’s sole risk be it that we rarely have any issues.
